In this practice, participants will be guided through a gentle, well-rounded yoga sequence to help stretch, strengthen and nurture the body followed by a guided meditation. Using nature as our guide and inspiration, these sessions provide our whole being with the benefits of time spent outdoors, including the possibility to sky gaze during meditation. After practice, there is the option to stay and wander the grounds or to have a socially-distanced community gathering.
OutdoorMeditate & Restore Classes
In this practice, participants will be guided through a calming and sensory-based opening meditation followed by a slow and supported restorative yoga practice. Restorative yoga is the use of props (or cushions) to create positions of ease where the body can open while being fully supported. Holding each posture for several minutes allows activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (rest & digest) to counteract the effects of stress and overstimulation. After practice, there is the option to stay and wander the grounds or to have a socially-distanced community gathering.
All in-person sessions are capped at 15 participants to foster an intimate and meaningful community experience.
Outdoor sessions are weather dependent. A few sprinkles wouldn't lead to class cancellation but severe weather would lead to cancellation. Let's hope Mother Nature is on our side! Local Covid-19 guidelines will apply and a health screening will be required before each practice (for the teacher and participants).
